I was working as a professional artist for several years after graduating
from Bretton Hall College in 1987 with a BA hons degree in Textiles.
In 2000 I began to concentrate my knowledge of textiles and fine art skills on felt
making. Whilst I did learn the basic method of felt making at college,
through experimentation I found I was happiest working with fine
merino wool tops to create pictures rather like a fine artist uses
paint. The year 2002 saw the opening of the FOCUS ON FELT Studio/Gallery.
